Radulf (Rudolf) van Gent b 1009 and GISELA of LUXEMBOURG 1018

Radulf van Gent, born 1009 in Normandie, France.  He married Gisla of Luxembourg , born 1018; died 1058; buried 1058 in Chapel of St. Lawrence, Ghent, daughter of Frederick I Count of Luxembourg and Ermentrude of Gleiberg Countess .

Radulf married Gisela, a daughter of Frederic I, Count in Moselgau and had three sons:  Boudewijn van Gent, Heer zu Waas, Dronghen en Ruiselede, whose son, another Boudewijn, went on Crusade and died at Nicaea in 1097; his descendants were the heeren van Aast or Aalst; this Boudewijn’s sister, name unknown, married Ingelbert IV of Peteghem; they are our ancestors via several lines; Rudolf, died 1096.

Child of Radulf van Gent and Gisla of Luxembourg: 1. Gilbert de Gant , born 1052 in Alost, Flandre Orientale, Belgium; died 1095; buried 1095 in Bardney, Lincolnshire, England, United Kingdom.  He married Alice de Montfort , born 1050 in Montfort-Sur-, Risle, France, daughter of Hugh de Monfort (Count) and Alice de Beauffou .
